The hard part is done. You have been engaged for some time; your wedding planning has been going in full force and nearing its end. Now, as if you did not have enough on your plate, it’s time to get your rings. The problem is you don’t know your ring size. Not to fret, here are some tips to accurately, but most importantly quickly, get your finger size measured.

Finger Sizer

Request a free finger sizer from Tungsten Rings & Co.

If you have some time, at the very least 2 weeks, before the big day, one of least time consuming and extremely accurate ways to get your ring sized in the comfort of your own home or office is visit our website (www.tungstenringsco.com) and request a free ring sizer kit. This will be mailed to you at no cost. Once you get to our site, click on “Free Ring Sizer” on the top menu bar. All you have to do is fill out the basic form telling us where to send the ring sizer. That’s it. You’re done for now. It should take as long as four days for you to receive the sizer, depending how close you are to the San Diego area.

Once you receive your free ring sizer, you will find complete instructions on how to size yourself just as a professional jeweler at the mall or jewelry store would have sized you, and you can do it without having to drive anywhere. As far as accuracy goes, rest assured we have dealt with all kinds of ring sizers and after much trial and error, we have stuck with the finger sizer that we have found to be most accurate. After you find your size, you can purchase your ring with absolute confidence.

Go to a Local Jewelry Store.

With so many things going on during the wedding planning process, you may have kept putting off getting your ring sized. Now, you’re running out of time and don’t have the luxury of extra time on your side to request a free ring sizer. What do you do? You can go to your local jeweler to determine your correct ring size.

Some people may feel awkward going to a jewelry store just to get your ring sized. It’s natural, but don’t feel bad about it. Tell the jewelers you are looking for tungsten wedding bands, but want to get started by finding out your ring size. If you have multiple jewelers near you, we recommend going to at least one other place to get your ring sized, time permitting. This way, you can ensure your ring size is the same.

If you are in a different country than the country in which you will purchase your ring, you can tell the jeweler where you will purchase the ring the size of your ring in your country. The jeweler should be able to convert it from that measurement. If you can find out the inside diameter of your ring size in millimeters, you can take this information to any jeweler and they can give you your ring size.

Take a ring to a jeweler to measure

If you have a ring that you know fits you well, you can take this ring to a jewelry store and get the ring sized that way. This is perfect for a surprise, such as an engagement ring.

Do it yourself

If you are running really, really late on time near the wedding, there is another solution. You can get a thin piece of paper; wrap it around your finger until it forms a circle. Once you have completed the circle, grab a pen or pencil and mark where the paper joins together forming the circle. You can unravel this and measure the length in millimeters. This is the circumference of your finger. Get this to a jeweler and he should be able to provide you with a proper fitting ring.

With those tips in mind, it should not be difficult to determine your ring size. It is important to know your exact ring size because rings that are even a half size off can feel either too tight or too loose on your finger. Unlike a hat, where you may not notice a marked difference with a size off, you will definitely notice this with a finger.
